There are always some places inside our home where we get very poor signal of Wi-Fi. The poor Wi-Fi signal reception could be due to the shape and size of our house which results in dead zones or it could be due to our old home Wi-Fi router. These problems can be easily eradicated with the help of a Netgear wireless range extender. We just need to install the Netgear wireless range extender inside our home and will start extending the Wi-Fi range around every corner inside our home. Netgear wireless range extender could be setup in three ways.
The simplest way to setup the Netgear wireless range extender is to follow the web browser setup. While using the web browser setup we have to open any web browser on our computer or laptop and we have to put mywifiext.net on the address bar of that web browser after connecting the computer to the Netgear wireless range extender. Once, we will put www.mywifiext.net on the address bar of the web browser and after searching it, we would be on the setup page. Then, we have to create an account with Netgear and after that we just have to follow few instructions on the computer screen to complete the setup process.
Making a hardwired connection. We could also setup the Netgear wireless range extender mywifiext by making hardwire connection between the home router and Netgear extender. We just have to take an Ethernet cable and, we have to connect one end of the Ethernet cable at the back of our home router and the other end of the Ethernet cable should be at the back of Netgear wireless range extender. Once the connections will be made, we just have to open any web browser on computer and we have to type www.mywifiext.net on the address bar of the web browser.
The simplest method out of all is WPS.There would be a WPS button on the Netgear wireless range extender as well on our home Wi-Fi router. We just have to press the WPS button on the Netgear wireless range extender for three seconds and then, within two minutes of pressing the WPS on the Netgear extender, we have to press the WPS button on our home Wi-Fi router as well. Then, it will take up to two minutes for applying all the settings. After two minutes, the Netgear wireless range extender would be up and running.
